Porter Microcraft Microscope Laboratory No 222 Complete Vintage 1950s

This complete Porter Microcraft Microscope Laboratory Kit No 222 is a rare, vintage 1950s microscope kit designed for educational and hobbyist use. Manufactured by Porter Chemical Co of Hagerstown, MD, this microscope is perfect for studying microorganisms and objects in the natural world. With its classic design and functionality, this piece is a valuable addition to any collection or for those looking to explore the world of science and nature.

This item is virtually complete, but the solvent and rubber cement have dried up. Most similar Porter Microcraft sets found are just a bare box, a box and microscope, or sometimes a few kit items. This kit has everything, including the chemicals and ores, intact test tubes and stir rod, forceps, slides, samples, microtome and user manuals.  The manuals have dates of 1956 and 1957, and it is unclear when this kit was actually assembled and sold, but likely sold in the late 50 and early 60s.

It is unlikely that there are many full kits like this still in existence. Internet searches show a kit this complete to be exceedingly rare and unique. This is your chance to own a piece of science and education history.
